SikaPaver® AE-1 is an efflorescence reducer with simultaneously plasticising effect especially for brilliant
coloured semi-dry concrete precast elements.

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
SikaPaver® AE-1 causes in semi-dry concrete mixes:
Better dispersion and wetting of cement, additives
and pigments
▪
Lower frictional forces between cement and aggregates
▪
▪ Introduction of smallest, evenly distributed air pores
A considerable hydrophobic effect by increasing the
surface tension to the water
▪
This creates the following advantages with fresh concrete:
Stronger compactability, which allows for example
achieving shorter cycle times or higher concrete
densities
▪
Reduced adhesion between the top-layer and the
tamper head (anti-sticking effect)
▪
increased green strength (shape keeping) after immediate de-molding
