Sika® Plastiment® BV-40
Sika® Plastiment® BV-40 is a plasticiser for concrete and mortar based on modified lignosulfonates.

- Water reduction, resulting in improved density, higher strength and reduced permeability
Sika® Plastiment® BV-40 does not contain chlorides or any other ingredients which promote corrosion of steel. It is therefore suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

Product Description
Sika Plastiment BV40 is a versatile and economical concrete plasticizer & waterproofing compound. It Compiles with IS: 9103 – 99, ASTM C 494/C 494 M-99a Type A.

Piling
Dosage:
0.2 to 0.8% by weight of cement. For more demanding situations use 0.5%. Plastiment -BV/40 is compatible with all types of Portland cement including Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC). Actual dosage to be finalized on the basis of site trials.
Dispensing:
It should be dispensed directly into the mixing water prior to itsaddition to the wet concrete. When accidental overdosing occurs, Plastiment -BV/40 does not entrain excessive amount of air and does not effect the ultimate strength, only the setting time is extended.
Cleaning of Tools:
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.
