Nitozinc Primer Std – Zinc-Rich Anti-Corrosive Primer

Nitozinc Primer Std is a high-performance anti-corrosive primer supplied as a two-component system based on metallic zinc and epoxy resin. When mixed, it forms a grey-colored liquid ideal for steel reinforcement and structural steel exposed on site.

Uses of Nitozinc Primer Std

• Recommended primer for exposed steel reinforcement and structural steel

• Actively resists corrosion and prevents formation of incipient anodes

• Compatible with Nitocote protective coatings and enamel paints

Design & Application Guidelines

Preparation

• Remove loose scale, corrosion deposits, and clean steel to a bright condition

• Grit-blasting recommended; wash with high-pressure clean water if chlorides are present

Application Instructions

• Stir thoroughly before use to redisperse settled components

• Apply one unbroken coat using a brush; small brush suitable for detailed areas

• Allow 30–60 minutes for drying before second coat or overcoating

• Maximum exposure interval: 14 days (less in industrial/marine environments)

Low Temperature Working

• Minimum application temperature: 10°C

• Avoid applying when temperature is falling below 10°C

Cleaning & Storage

• Clean tools with Nitoflor Sol immediately after use

• Store in original unopened containers in dry conditions; shelf life: 6 months
