Polymer based rust/corrosion cleaner-cum-preventive coating for Re-bar

DURA RUSTOBIT is a slightly amber coloured Polymer based solvent containing liquid and is used as a rust/corrosion cleaning-cum-preventive coating over reinforcing steel bar. DURA RUSTOBIT provides protection to Re-bar through the formation of passivating layer at both cathode and anode sites. DURA RUSTOBIT is basically formulated from polymer- solvent-containing film former and the latest corrosion preventive chemical with its typical characteristic odour.

Uses 

DURA RUSTOBIT is normally used as a cleaner-cum-coating material over steel reinforcement after thorough cleaning like wire brushing along with application of DURA RUSTOBIT itself or sand blasting etc.

Application 

Surface preparation of the Re-bar should be thoroughly carried out by application of DURA RUSTOBIT itself with emery cloth, wire brush etc. or even with sand blasting. Over the prepared surface DURA RUSTOBIT may be applied with the help of fine cloth and normal soft paint brush. After application and cleaning at ambient condition, it dries within 45 minutes and then concrete may be placed over it.
