Description
CONCRETE PRIMER
Solvent-free special emulsion base bitumen coating
CONCRETE PRIMER is an excellent quality universal primer, manufactured from a special type of bitumen. It is Emousion based and
commonly applied onto various substrates (concrete, concrete blocks, bricks, foam concrete, fiber and steel substrates) to improve
bonding of bituminous products. CONCRETE PRIMER is in accordance with ASTM D 41.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Binds dust, which increases its adhesive property.
Improves adhesion / bonding of bituminous materials to the substrate.
Water-resistant.
Corrosion and chemical resistant.
Penetrates and seals porous surfaces.
Fast drying.
Cost effective, no heating, thinning or mixing.
Compatible with various substrates and structures.
SPECIFICATION COMPLIANCE
CONCRETE PRIMER is tested as per the requirements of ASTM D-41, and other relevant International Standards.
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND WARRANTY
Its ISO 9001 Quality Assured Company, and CONCRETE PRIMER carries a material warranty against any manufacturing defects.
MAIN USES
CONCRETE PRIMER is used as
Universal primer on roofs and walls made from reinforced concrete, asphalt, bricks, metal and porous substrates before applying any
of waterproofing sheet membranes and protective coatings.
Single coat protective coating on various construction structures and on metal structures. It can be applied on vertical and horizontal
structures.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
CONCRETE PRIMER should be thoroughly stirred before use. The surface should be dry, clean and free of loose materials, dirt, soil, grease,
oil or other impurities.
Apply CONCRETE PRIMER by means of a brush, roller or spray gun @ of 5–6 m2/lit into the entire coverage area of the substrate and allow
to dry. The drying time and coverage depends on the porosity of the substrate and the environmental conditions.
It’s recommended to apply at temperatures above 5°C.
PACKING AND STORAGE
CONCRETE PRIMER is available in 20–liter pails and 200–liter drums, palletized and strapped. It should be store at temperature between 5oC and
40oC and away from the source of ignition. Adequate ventilation has to be ensured when applying solvent–based products in an enclosed
area. Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment. Open solvent based product drums or containers should be kept tightly closed, away
from fire or open flame. Partly used material should be placed in a sealed container and stored in a well ventilated area.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
There are no direct health hazards associated with CONCRETE PRIMER . Normal precautions for volatile material should be observed. Refer to our
MSDS sheets for advice.
